Tafts initial passion for sports came from a background that was populated by athletes. Though she participated at many levels during her schooling and college years, it wasn't until later when Taft decided to focus on broadcasting. Taft has graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism and a concentration in the reporting of sports and regional affiliation started her career as a reporter with Fox Sports North. In addition to covering sports, she was also social media content creator and was a host for many games. Then being promoted, she became part of the Fox Sports 1, the News and Highlights Team. In FS1 Taft was a reporter for reputed championships, and also reported on these from the ground. She was also the college's sideline reporter. Soon after that, Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt were appointed to lead the college football coverage. In 2018, she was well-known after being asked to take over as moderator on the hit TV Show Skip and Shannon Undisputed. She still is the moderator today.
